Course content
Introduction to company finance. Time factor and risk in financial decision making. Resources of company financing. Company own and foreign financial resources. Company internal and external resources. Methods of acquiring financial resources. Alternative financial resources. Property and financial structure of the company. Capital costs. Capital planning and investment decision making. Financial analysis - the tool for financial decision making. Selected indicators of financial analysis. Financial planning in relation to the information obtained from the financial statements and financial analysis.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with key issues and problems of the company financial management. The attention is paid to significant issues of the financial management and company decision making, explanation of basic terms and relations in the company financing. The aim is to create theoretical basis for further study in the follow-up economic disciplines and at the same time provide the students with practical information. Students will be able to select appropriate forms of financing the company activities and proceed properly in acquiring financial resources.
A student will be able to use appropriate forms of financing business activities and proper procedures in obtaining financial resources of the company.
Subject based on the premise that the student has basic knowledge of business legal forms, assets and capital structure, classification of costs and revenues.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation

The assignment is granted upon successful completion of the following conditions: completion of the seminar paper on a given topic (examining the ability to solve any selected issue of the company financing). The examination is usually in the form of written test and examines the ability of the student to master lectured topics.
