Course content
Urban design - introduction, notions, theories Development construction of town till 19th century Development construction of town from 19th century till today urban space (urban composition and public spaces) Basic functional organization of the settlements. Function of dwelling Continuation of explanation of functional organization; function of public services and working possibilities (industry etc.) green of settlements Transport a technical infrastructure at the level of settlement Urban planning - theory, notions, legislation Tools and participants of urban planning The process of formation of PD and NSPM Urban economy and reconstruction of settlement Excursion Hradec Králové - text book of modern urban design

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to present the area studies e.g. spatially organizational field of settlements (cities / towns and villages) and introduction to the subjects, which are by this problems deal with i.e. urban design and urban planning. As a part of the subjects is also information on contemporary situation in urban planning including the legislation.
Student is able to solve particular spatial planning problems. It means that she/he is able to use spatial and urban planning documents and understands their impact into the city or countryside.

The examination is granted upon copmpletion of the folowing conditions: submission and adjustment of the seminar paper and passing written test.
