Course content
Methods of task solving on a computer. Algorithmization of tasks. Basic terms used in algorithmization and programming. Programming languages and the Python language. Constants, variables, terms, and commands. Block programme structure. Data types. Classification of data types. Basic commands. Standard procedures of input and output data. Structured commands. Structured data types. Work with LEGO robotic sets helped by mobile phones with iOS or Android OS

Learning outcomes
The objective of the subject is to to provide students with essentials of algorithms and programming, epsecially with the Python programming language and basics of flowcharts.
Students will be able to analyze problem, create and algorithm, write it in a form of a flow chart and programme it in Python. They will be able to understand basic terms of programming.

Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation

The assignment is granted upon elaboration of the seminar paper (students will be provided with detailed information). The examination consists of two parts, oral and written. Successful task solving and responding to assigned questions are evaluated.
